The choice of light bulbs for chandeliers today is staggering: flame light bulbs, tapered, torpedo, petite, swirl, clear, frosted, white, colored, reflector, incandescent, fluorescent, compact fluorescent, energy saver, halogen, LED, and many, many others. The list of chandelier light bulbs seems almost endless – literally dozens of choices.

One reason for the number of different light bulbs is the number of different kinds of chandeliers now available. No longer are chandeliers limited to just the foyer or great room or dining room. In today’s world, one can find chandeliers in just about any room in any home – not just in the homes of the affluent. Chandeliers can be found in the bedroom, where they may add a touch of romance. In a living room where they can bring warmth and charm. They can be found hung over a pool table in a game room or in a kitchen where a light and colorful chandelier can add a sense of playfulness. How about a chandelier in a cabin in the woods; perhaps made of antlers for that rustic motif. You may even find a Gummi Bear chandelier!
